| Christian Montanari brought home another podium finish at Nogaro: the driver from San Marino drove, together with team-mate Miguel Ramos, his Vitaphone Maserati MC12 to 3rd place at the end of a tight and exciting race. Despite the 40-Kilogram ballast due to last week's win at Brno, Montanari won a spectacular duel with Pierguidi in the early stages, and then kept the same pace of the sister car driven by Thomas Biagi and Michael Bartels. Unfortunately, Miguel Ramos lost valuable time in a slow pit-stop: without that issue, an even better result could have been achieved. The last round of the season will take off at Zolder in three weeks. As Vitaphone Racing mathematically clinched the teams' title, Montanari now lays second in standings, five points off Biagi.
