Las Vegas, NV - Ron Hornaday was just 12 laps away from his 11th top-five
finish of the year when the right front tire exploded on his No. 33
Camping World Silverado, sending him down pit roads for repairs. After
the crew worked feverishly to make what repairs they could, Hornaday only
lost one lap to the leaders in the Smith's Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway. He salvaged a 22nd place finish, but now sits second in
the standings-three points behind the leader.
The next event for Team Chevy Silverado will be October 6, 2007.
