Default WSBK: WSS: Team Alstare Vallelunga race notes

DISAPPOINTMENT FOR XAVI.

Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra rider Xavier Simeon was pushed off-line
on the opening lap of today's tenth round Superstock 1000 FIM Cup race
at Vallelunga and lost touch with the leaders as a result. He tried to
fight back into contention but, at the end of the 13-lap race, he was
only able to get back into fifth place. Claudio Corti (Yamaha) won the
race, with Niccolo Canepa (Ducati) second, Ayrton Badovini (MV) third and
Brendan Roberts (Ducati) fourth. Today's result means that Xavi is now
in third place in the championship, with just one round remaining. He is
eight points behind series leader Matteo Baiocco (Yamaha) and seven
points behind second-placed Canepa.
